Bookings have opened for this year’s famous Kumbia Brain Drain and tickets are apparently selling fast …<\/p>\n

Or in the words of the organisers:<\/p>\n

“Doggone it folks, looks like them ol’ west saloons stalls are goin’ faster then a high falutin’ fancy\u00a0saddle-up sharpshooter. Sheriff, there’s gonna be some speed demons riding into town soon!”<\/em><\/p>\n

As you may have guessed from this, the theme this year for the South Burnett’s biggest trivia night is “The Old West”.<\/p>\n

In recent years, trivia lovers have explored sci-fi characters, horror, super heroes and Formula 1 at Kumbia, so it’s about time they dusted off their cowboy boots.<\/p>\n

This will be the 24th year for the popular night, which is an important fundraiser for the Kumbia State School P&C.<\/p>\n

It’s so famous that competitors have been known to travel several hundred kilometres just to attend.<\/p>\n

Prizes are awarded every round, as well as for the best costumes.<\/p>\n

The Brain Drain will be held from 6:00pm on Saturday, August 5.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Cost is $120 per table (six people) or $240 for corporate tables, which includes a light meal and tea and coffee – BYO esky and nibbles.<\/p>\n

Bookings and payment must be made by July 5.<\/p>\n
