A young man has been flown to Bundaberg Hospital after he suffered a suspected broken ankle on Saturday after falling from a motorbike at the Manar Park motocross track at Boondooma.<\/p>\n

The Bundaberg-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue crew was called to the scene about 11:00am to assist the man, aged in his 20s.<\/p>\n

A LifeFlight spokesperson said the man had been riding his motorbike over a jump when he lost control and was thrown over the bike\u2019s handlebars.<\/p>\n

Ambulance paramedics treated the patient before the helicopter arrived.<\/p>\n

LifeFlight Rescue crews experienced a very busy weekend, being called to five missions around Queensland in less than five hours on Saturday, and even more on Sunday.<\/p>\n

Crews made three trips to assist injured trail-bike riders taking part in the Killarney Border Ranges Trail Ride on Saturday and Sunday.<\/p>\n

One of the injured riders was a 10-year-old boy, while another was a teenager.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
