The Kumbia Hall supper room became a sea of green for the annual St Patrick’s Day celebrations on Sunday.<\/p>\n

St Paddy’s day was actually Friday, but like last year the organisers – the Kumbia Catholic Ladies – decided to shift the event to the weekend so more people could attend.<\/p>\n

And it paid off, with about 60 people turning up for the fun.<\/p>\n

This year, the Catholic Ladies decided to hold the event inside the Kumbia Hall instead of in the grounds of the Catholic Church. \u00a0This turned out to be an inspiration – did St Patrick intervene? – as the rain bucketed down outside.<\/p>\n

Guests enjoyed afternoon tea as well as lucky prizes, a silent auction and a string of raffles.<\/p>\n

The popular “Green Elephant Stall” was back with a range of pot plants available for sale.<\/p>\n

There’s a strange thing about St Patrick’s Day celebrations … it turns out that everyone, no matter their cultural background, is a little bit Irish.<\/p>\n

And everyone is equally capable of having a good time!<\/p>\n
