The SBMCS production of Jesus Christ Superstar will run from March 23-26<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

March 18, 2017<\/strong><\/p>\n

The countdown has begun for the opening night of the South Burnett Musical Comedy’s Society’s first big production for 2017 … the sensational 1970s rock opera Jesus Christ Superstar.<\/p>\n

The SBMCS cast members have been practising for months for the production.<\/p>\n

The music was composed by Andrew Lloyd Webber with lyrics by Tim Rice.<\/p>\n

These are superstars in their own right, with at least one of the songs from the score climbing the music charts at the time.<\/p>\n

The production is timely as the story follows the last week of Christ’s life through to the Passion and Crucifixion.<\/p>\n

The SBMCS crew will be working across this weekend to get the Kingaroy Town Hall ready for opening night.<\/p>\n

The final dress rehearsal will be held on Monday.<\/p>\n

There are just four performances:<\/strong><\/p>\n
