Visitors to Kingaroy Hospital should enjoy easier access to the buildings following the completion of road works at the complex.<\/p>\n

New car parking spaces have been provided, roads resurfaced and line markings refreshed.<\/p>\n

The $325,000 project was funded by the Darling Downs Hospital and Health Service (DDHHS) Backlog Maintenance Remediation Program.<\/p>\n

Kingaroy Hospital Director of Nursing and Facility Manager Mark White said there were now four new car parks for disabled parking permit holders, including two near the emergency department, one near the renal unit and one at the front of the hospital.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere are also two new general car parks near the dental area, newly resurfaced roads to car parking areas and new line marking,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThese works were the result of consumer feedback about difficulties accessing car parking facilities at Kingaroy Hospital.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cWe understood that patients and visitors needed improved access and more car parking amenities and began exploring funding options to fulfil this need.<\/p>\n

\u201cOnce funding was secured, the project team worked closely with Kingaroy Hospital and staff to minimise disruptions to patients, visitors and staff during construction phase, which is now completed.<\/p>\n
