Murgon will host the Grand Final of the South Burnett cricket competition after the Crusaders defeated the Wooroolin Warriors by 11 runs in Kingaroy.<\/p>\n

The major semi-final was played at Lyle Vidler Oval on Saturday.<\/p>\n

Murgon Crusaders batted first and finished 8\/260 off their 45 overs.<\/p>\n

Lehman Brunjes top-scored with 88, followed by good totals from\u00a0Jared Sippel (43),\u00a0Jason Webber (37) and\u00a0James McUtchen (25 not out).<\/p>\n

Mitchell Crossley was the best of the Warriors’ bowlers, taking 4\/60 off nine overs.<\/p>\n

Other wickets were taken by\u00a0Faisal Khan (2\/47 off 8),\u00a0Andrew Askin (1\/43 off 9) and\u00a0Luke Smith (1\/47 off 9).<\/p>\n

In reply, Wooroolin fell just short, ending with 8\/249 off their 45 overs.<\/p>\n

Trevor Hansen was best of the Warriors’ batsmen, unbeaten on 50.<\/p>\n

Hayden Wieck (46) and\u00a0Dan O’Connor (40) also enjoyed good knocks.<\/p>\n

Jared Sippel was the most lethal of the Crusaders’ bowlers, taking 3\/27 off nine overs.<\/p>\n

Other wickets were taken by James McUtchen (2\/27 off 9),\u00a0Bryce Edwards (1\/16 off 3),\u00a0Stuey Robinson (1\/16 off 2) and\u00a0Tom Patton (1\/51 off 4).<\/p>\n

The Grand Final will be played on March 25 at Murgon Showgrounds.<\/p>\n

Crusaders will play the winner of the semi-final between Wooroolin Warriors and Kumbia Rattlers next Saturday at Lyle Vidler Oval.<\/p>\n
