Would you like to learn how to take better photos with your phone’s camera?<\/p>\n

How to use special effects? And how to edit your photo after you’ve taken it to produce a dazzling result?<\/p>\n

These days, most people who own a smartphone are walking around with a camera in their pocket that has as much power as a normal camera that would have cost $1000 or more less than a decade ago.<\/p>\n

But very few people know how to use this remarkable tool effectively.<\/p>\n

To help, the Nanango & Districts Camera Club will be holding a workshop to teach people how to take better photos on their smartphone this Sunday (March 12).<\/p>\n

The six-hour workshop will be led by expert photographer Phillipa Fredericksen from the Photographic Society of Queensland.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Phillipa, who has competed at national and international photography competitions, became very interested in taking and editing photos on smartphones several years ago.<\/p>\n

She now gives talks to share all the expert tips and tricks she’s picked up along the way.<\/p>\n

Her workshop will teach smartphone owners how to take artistic, abstract and creative photographs; how to edit photos on a smartphone; and how to create a portfolio.<\/p>\n

The workshop will be held at St Patrick’s School library at 16 Alfred Street, Nanango from 9:30am to 3:30pm.<\/p>\n

The cost of the workshop is $10 for camera club members or $15 for non-members and includes a free morning and afternoon tea.<\/p>\n

Everyone who attends should bring along their smartphone and a packed lunch.<\/p>\n
