Another great Yarraman Horse Ride … 118 riders gathered at Yarraman Showgrounds on Saturday to celebrate the ride’s 21st anniversary<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

March 6, 2017<\/strong><\/p>\n

The 2017 Yarraman Horse Ride – described as “the best yet” by some participants – attracted 118 riders to the South Burnett on Saturday.<\/p>\n

This was about 10 per cent up from 2016 … which should have made the organisers, the Yarraman Show Society, happy.<\/p>\n

Participants aged from 12 to “veteran” travelled from the Sunshine Coast, Brisbane, Brisbane Valley, Gold Coast and Warwick to take part.<\/p>\n

Most were members of \u00a0Trail Riding Australia clubs or Australian Trail Riders Association clubs.<\/p>\n

A group of local riders came from the Tingoora Agility Club.<\/p>\n

Many of the riders arrived in Yarraman on Friday morning and left on Sunday.<\/p>\n

One estimate suggested the visitors could have added $15,000 to $20,000 economic benefit to the town during their stay.<\/p>\n

Many floats were also seen stopping in Blackbutt on the way home, at the Bunyanut Cafe and Blackbutt Bakery.<\/p>\n
