The Rotary Club of Kingaroy launched its 2013 Calendar on Monday night to help promote the South Burnett and raise money for Rotary’s various club projects.<\/p>\n

This year’s calendar is the fourth in the series and features photographs from a competition run by the South Burnett Show Society earlier this year\u00a0as part of the annual Kingaroy Show.<\/p>\n

Entrants had to submit photos taken in the South Burnett that matched the theme, “Wheels”.<\/p>\n

More than 100 entries were received.<\/p>\n

After the official competition finished, Kingaroy Rotary Club members went through all the entries and selected 13 photos which they felt best represented the South Burnett.<\/p>\n

It’s these 13 photos – which depict scenes from across the region – which will be telling the South Burnett’s story on the 2013 Rotary Calendar.<\/p>\n

The club invited the photographers whose works had been chosen to its regular weekly meeting last night to thank them and present them with a copy of the calendar.<\/p>\n

Club member Mark Huston said Rotary was very appreciative of Neil Winter who had organised the photography competition through the Show Society.<\/p>\n

The 2013 Calendar costs $5 and can be bought at:<\/p>\n
