More than $5000 worth of local rewards are up for grabs in the South Burnett Rewards program, including a $100 voucher to be won nearly every day until the beginning of April.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Winners will be selected randomly across the region each day, one in each store.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Participating stores are also running their own rewards programs, with shoppers accumulating points for their next\u00a02 for 1, free or package deal.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Deputy Mayor Kathy Duff said the South Burnett Rewards project was an\u00a0initiative of economic development group South Burnett Directions.<\/strong><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

Have you noticed something new around the South Burnett lately?<\/p>\n

Maybe you\u2019ve seen red flags outside businesses or Rewardle tablets on the counters of some\u00a0shops?<\/p>\n

More than 50 South Burnett businesses have joined the South Burnett Rewards campaign, which is currently in full\u00a0swing.<\/p>\n

South Burnett Rewards is a “buy local” campaign which has been funded and supported by local businesses and organisations which believe that\u00a0small business is a vital part of the local economy: Heritage Bank Nanango, Swickers Bacon Factory,\u00a0the South Burnett Regional Council, Burnett Business Centre, Ken Mills Toyota, JobMatch Employment and\u00a0Bishopp Outdoor Advertising.<\/p>\n

The aim of the South Burnett Rewards campaign is to encourage local residents into local businesses to buy products and\u00a0services, and be rewarded for their loyalty.<\/p>\n

Rewards could includes a free coffee, free sausages, a day\u2019s fishing\u00a0charter, a free ring clean or even a song written for your loved one – the list is long and varied.<\/strong><\/p>\n

South Burnett Rewards uses the electronic Rewardle system.<\/p>\n

Cards are available at any of the participating stores (or you can download an app to your smart phone).<\/p>\n

This card (or app) is scanned after you make a purchase at any of the participating stores.<\/p>\n

Shoppers also earn points as they spend.<\/p>\n

\u201cCouncil is encouraging all locals in the region to buy local if possible,\u201d Mayor Keith Campbell said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis\u00a0campaign is a step towards further encouraging residents in the South Burnett to shop at your local\u00a0stores.<\/p>\n

“Not only are you supporting, in most cases, a family business, but these businesses in turn put
\nmoney back into our community, which helps our region prosper and grow.\u201d<\/p>\n
