ABC News is reporting that more contamination has been found near the underground coal gasification site formerly operated by Linc Energy near Chinchilla.<\/p>\n

According to the ABC, flammable levels of hydrogen have been found near the site.<\/p>\n

The hydrogen is not believed to be in explosive concentrations but landholders have been encouraged to exercise caution.<\/p>\n

The State Government has been enforcing a 314sq km “excavation caution zone” around the old Linc plant, with landholders urged to take care before digging any deeper than two metres.<\/p>\n

Linc Energy and five former executives are currently facing environmental charges in relation to the UCG operation.<\/p>\n
