Country music singer Dean Perrett has become a surprise social media sensation … and it’s got nothing to do with his award-winning albums or songs.<\/p>\n

When he’s not on stage in Tamworth or elsewhere, Dean is a cattleman near Booie.<\/p>\n

A few days ago a dry lightning storm passed over his property.<\/p>\n

There was hardly any rain but Dean was startled when a neighbour rang to tell him one of his tanks was on fire.<\/p>\n

The 5000 gallon poly tank burned to the water line after taking a direct lightning strike.<\/p>\n

Dean posted a pic of the semi-melted tank on social media, which has now been shared more than 10,200 times and attracted 1800 “likes”.<\/p>\n

A new tank is due to arrive at Dean’s property on Wednesday.<\/p>\n
