A new online way to dob in a drug dealer was unveiled by Queensland Police and the State Government on Thursday.<\/p>\n

The web page – which aims to target ice producers and dealers – was launched by Police Minister Mark Ryan, Superintendent David Tucker and Detective Superintendent Jon Wacker.<\/p>\n

Supt David Tucker said the public would be able to provide information that could form the basis of an investigation, or the piece of a puzzle needed to solve a cold case.<\/p>\n

He said the online tool would complement existing resources such as Crime Stoppers and Police Link.<\/p>\n

“(It is) specifically focused on information relating to the distribution and possession of ice,\u201d Supt Tucker said.<\/p>\n

Reports can be made anonymously or the user can also provide their email address should they wish to provide further information in future.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Palaszczuk Government is committed to targeting crime in Queensland and will continue to broaden its focus from Outlaw Motorcycle Gangs to all aspects of major and organised crime, including those who produce and distribute dangerous drugs within our community,\u201d Police Minister Mark Ryan said.<\/p>\n

\u201cWith intelligence suggesting the threat posed by organised syndicates is of particular concern, we must ensure we provide police the support they need to win this war.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe know drugs are the fuel that keeps organised crime going. It is essential we target the source in order to get the most effective results.\u201d<\/p>\n
