The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) is inviting dairy farmers to participate in a series of public forums as part of its Dairy Inquiry.<\/p>\n

The purpose of the forums is to hear directly from dairy farmers about competition and fair trading issues that affect them.<\/p>\n

The Dairy Inquiry began in November 2016 and is examining competition between milk processors, contracting and pricing practices, retail pricing, and transparency.<\/p>\n

Attendees will have the opportunity to discuss issues directly with ACCC Commissioners.<\/p>\n

A Queensland meeting will be held on Monday, February 6 from 11:30am-2:00pm at the City Golf Club at 254 South Street, Toowoomba.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Other meetings will be held in other NSW, Victoria, South Australia, Western Australia and Tasmania between February 7 and March 22.<\/p>\n

Dairy farmers who are unable to attend a forum are invited to contact the ACCC’s Dairy Inquiry team to have their say.<\/p>\n

A summary of issues discussed at the forums will be published on the ACCC website, but the names of attendees will not be published.<\/p>\n
