Police are appealing for public assistance to help catch graffiti vandals who targeted two Kingaroy schools this week.<\/p>\n

On Tuesday morning, Kingaroy police received complaints about graffiti sprayed on a Nissan vehicle parked in Gladys Street.<\/p>\n

There was also a large amount of graffiti at Taabinga State School with a number of buildings “tagged” with spray paint.<\/p>\n

“It appears to have happened either on Monday night or in the early hours of Tuesday,” officer-in-charge of Kingaroy Police, Senior Sergeant Duane Frank said.<\/p>\n

Later on Tuesday, police were called to Kingaroy State School in regards to graffiti on a number of buildings and floors.<\/p>\n

“Police are suggesting the incidents are all linked,” Snr Sgt Frank said.<\/p>\n

Anyone with information is asked to call Kingaroy Police on (07) 4160-4900 or Crime Stoppers anonymously on 1800-333-000.<\/p>\n

Nanango Police are seeking information in relation to a stealing offence which occurred on November 30 at 8:44pm from the rear of a Drayton Street business.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Police believe a male captured on CCTV, who appears to be wearing pyjama pants, may be able to assist with their inquiries.<\/p>\n

Anyone with information about the identity of this person is asked to phone Nanango Police or can contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 1800-333-000.<\/p>\n

* * *<\/strong><\/h3>\n

A Hyundai driven by a 32-year-old Proston woman was involved in a single-vehicle crash on the Memerambi-Gordonbrook Road at 3:00am on Saturday.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Police believe the driver lost control of the vehicle before it left the road and rolled on its side.<\/p>\n

Snr Sgt Frank said the vehicle was unregistered at the time.<\/p>\n

Police investigations are continuing.<\/p>\n

An 18-year-old Kingaroy man was arrested and charged with refusing to leave licensed premises and obstructing police after an alleged altercation in Haly Street in the early hours of Saturday morning.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Police will allege he was very intoxicated at the time.<\/p>\n

* * *<\/strong><\/h3>\n

At 6:00pm on Saturday, police were contacted by motorists concerned about the erratic driving of a vehicle in the Maidenwell area.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Police caught up with the vehicle on Kingaroy-Cooyar Road out from Kingaroy.<\/p>\n

The driver, a 38-year-old Toowoomba man, allegedly tested positive to cannabis in a roadside test.<\/p>\n

* * *<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Police were forced to use capsicum spray to subdue a man involved in an alleged altercation in First Avenue at 1:00am on Sunday morning.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The 21-year-old Kingaroy man has been charged with threatening behaviour and obstructing police.<\/p>\n

Police allege the man was intoxicated, threatening family members and behaving irrationally.<\/p>\n

* * *<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Kingaroy police are urging shoppers to lock their cars when they are doing Christmas shopping, particularly if they are parking at Shoppingworld.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Snr Sgt Frank said people would often do some shopping, put it in the car and then go back to the shops to do some more.<\/p>\n

“If you don’t lock your car you are making it easy for these wayward people who want to steal,” he said.<\/p>\n

* * *<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Police have impounded a Mazda sedan after intercepting a car in Barwick Street, Kingaroy, at 3:00am on Monday.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Police allege the 27-year-old Kingaroy man driving had been disqualified previously by a court.<\/p>\n

He was issued with a notice to appear in court on January 9.<\/p>\n

Snr Sgt Frank said the vehicle would remain impounded until the finalisation of the court proceedings when it could be forfeited permanently.<\/p>\n

The driver is not the owner of the vehicle.<\/p>\n

* * *<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Two 26-year-old men will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on January 9 after allegedly stealing a trolley-load of groceries from SupaIGA in Kingaroy.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Police were called to store about 9:00am on Monday where they viewed CCTV.<\/p>\n

Snr Sgt Frank said it would be alleged the men, from Kingaroy and the Toowoomba region, filled a trolley with about $500 worth of groceries before leaving the store via the entry gate.<\/p>\n

* * *<\/strong><\/h3>\n

At 4:00pm on Wednesday, police were called to an alleged disturbance between a man and a woman.<\/strong><\/p>\n

They than located a 26-year-old man in Savoy Court, Kingaroy.<\/p>\n

He has been charged with assault occasioning bodily hard and will appear in court in January.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
