{"id":166075,"date":"2016-12-13T15:33:01","date_gmt":"2016-12-13T05:33:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/southburnett.com.au\/news2\/?p=166075"},"modified":"2020-06-26T13:36:13","modified_gmt":"2020-06-26T03:36:13","slug":"sb-groups-split-415600","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/southburnett.com.au\/news2\/2016\/12\/13\/sb-groups-split-415600\/","title":{"rendered":"SB Groups Split $415,600"},"content":{"rendered":"<figure id=\"attachment_98597\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-98597\" style=\"width: 200px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"http:\/\/southburnett.com.au\/news2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/anthonylynham.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-98597\" title=\"Dr Anthony Lynham\" src=\"http:\/\/southburnett.com.au\/news2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/anthonylynham.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"200\" height=\"316\" srcset=\"https:\/\/southburnett.com.au\/news2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/anthonylynham.jpg 200w, https:\/\/southburnett.com.au\/news2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/anthonylynham-190x300.jpg 190w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 200px) 100vw, 200px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-98597\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Acting Attorney-General Dr Anthony Lynham<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong>December 13, 2016<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Twenty South Burnett not-for-profit groups will share more than $415,600 in funding under the latest round of the Gambling Community Benefit Fund scheme.<\/p>\n<p>Recipients ranged from the Cooyar Rural Fire Brigade and the Proston Scouts, to the Blackbutt State School and the Goomeri SES.<\/p>\n<p>The groups are part of the more than\u00a0600 community groups across Queensland who received a share of more than $13 million in funding.<\/p>\n<p>Acting Attorney-General Dr Anthony Lynham congratulated the 643 not-for-profit groups.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDelivering this funding just before Christmas will not only give these vital not-for-profit groups a boost over this busy period, but it will also help them forward plan for 2017,\u201d Dr Lynham said.<\/p>\n<p>Dr Lynham said the GCBF returned almost $53 million to 2360 community groups last financial year.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Applications for Round 91 of the grants scheme close on January 13.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe GCBF\u2019s new user-friendly online portal will make the application process even easier,\u201d Dr Lynham said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTo apply for funding, groups now need to login to the portal, register their organisation and complete their application.
