Blackbutt and Benarkin Lions brought the curtain down on their week of Christmas activities on Saturday night with a “food fair” at Blackbutt Showgrounds.<\/p>\n

Food vans and Lions Club members offered tasty food to appreciative locals who could soak up the festive atmosphere while they were having tea.<\/p>\n

The popular Sempf Sisters played Christmas carols as well as a mix of old favourites on stage.<\/p>\n

The licensed bar was also doing a good trade, while the children enjoyed the opportunity to get their photo with Santa.<\/p>\n

The food fair followed the Blackbutt Lions’\u00a0Arts & Crafts Christmas Fair\u00a0which ran of Friday night and most of Saturday.<\/p>\n

The Arts & Craft Fair had been scheduled to be held in Les Muller Park but was moved to the showgrounds when a thunderstorm looked likely.<\/p>\n

It has been a busy week for the Blackbutt and Benarkin Lions who launched the 16th annual Blackbutt Community Christmas Festival last Sunday (December 4).<\/p>\n

They also hosted a community lunch during the week, the two-day Arts & Crafts fair and then the Food Fair.<\/p>\n
