A 47-year-old Ipswich woman has been flown to hospital with serious injuries after a motorbike crash on the Bunya Highway on Saturday morning.<\/p>\n

Her pillion passenger, a 26-year-old woman from Brisbane, was taken by ambulance to Kingaroy Hospital with minor grazes and abrasions.<\/p>\n

Three ambulances were called to the incident, which occurred near Morrisseys Road at Inverlaw about 10:00am.<\/p>\n

Passing motorists controlled traffic as paramedics attended to the riders.<\/p>\n

A road ambulance transferred the injured woman to an RACQ LifeFlight helicopter, which landed on nearby Magees Road, which then flew her to Princess Alexandra Hospital\u00a0.<\/p>\n

The Honda motorcycle was pulling a trailer.<\/p>\n

Investigations into the cause of the crash are continuing.<\/p>\n

“Police will have the motorcycle inspected and assessed by police mechanics to determine if there was any mechanical malfunction,” Officer-in-Charge of Kingaroy Police, Senior Sergeant Duane Frank, said.<\/p>\n
