State Development Minister Dr Anthony Lynham will be the special guest at a free community barbecue being held on Saturday before the Country Fair at Kingaroy Airport.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn the South Burnett, we always come together in times of need,” South Burnett Mayor Keith Campbell said.<\/p>\n

“This barbecue event will be held to acknowledge the strength and resilience of our community members and organisations involved with the management of and recovery from the recent fire at Swickers.\u201d<\/p>\n

The barbecue, which is is being funded by State Development, will begin at 11:30am and will run until 1:30pm or when the last burger is served.<\/p>\n

The Country Fair officially gets underway at 2:00pm and will run until 9:00pm.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Organisers have planned an afternoon filled with free family activities and games, as well as displays by community organisations and clubs, entertainment and stalls.<\/p>\n

The main feature attractions will begin at 6:00pm with entertainer Ked Taylor.<\/p>\n

Lachlan Smart, the youngest pilot to fly solo around the world, will provide an inspirational address of his adventures, followed by a charity auction.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
