Today was the last opportunity for South Burnett residents to sign the “Thank You” banners<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

November 16, 2012<\/strong><\/p>\n

The “Truckload of Thanks” tour that has been winding its way through the South Burnett held its last pitstop today at Blackbutt, outside the Council offices in Hart Street.<\/p>\n

The tour, a highlight of SES Week, has provided local residents with an opportunity to personally thank the many SES volunteers who worked so hard during last year’s floods.<\/p>\n

Like all the other pitstops this week, the free Disaster Ready kits proved popular … but so were the free snags at the sausage sizzle.<\/p>\n

CROW-FM also broadcast their Breakfast Show live from Hart Street.<\/p>\n

South Burnett Mayor Wayne Kratzmann spoke at this morning’s event, personally thanking the SES volunteers for all their hard work.<\/p>\n

Blackbutt residents were able to sign two large “Thank You” banners, which will now accompany the Truckload of Thanks convoy when it leaves Murgon at 6:00am tomorrow to travel to Emergency Services Queensland headquarters in Kedron.<\/p>\n

Volunteers from Booubyjan and Kilkivan SES groups will be joining the convoy as its passes on its way via Gympie.<\/p>\n
