November 23, 2016<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Bureau of Meteorology has warned Wide Bay and Burnett residents that a severe fire danger is forecast for Thursday (November 24).<\/p>\n

A surface trough will push northeast across southern and central Queensland during Thursday.<\/p>\n

Moderate south to southwesterly winds, and a very hot and dry air mass will follow the trough over inland parts of south-east Queensland.<\/p>\n

All permits to light fires will be cancelled from midnight on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

The Rural Fire Service has advised residents to action their Bushfire Survival Plan, and monitor the fire and weather situation on radio, www.ruralfire.qld.gov.au<\/a><\/strong> and www.bom.gov.au<\/a><\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n

Call 000 (Triple Zero) in an emergency or if you spot a fire.<\/p>\n
