Fire crews were called back to two grass fires which flared up on Thursday morning.<\/p>\n

In the first, firefighters were called back to Millers Road at Booie after a fire – believed to have been started by lightning on Tuesday evening – flared back up.<\/p>\n

In the second, a fire crew was sent to The Heights Road at Barkers Creek Flat to work to strengthen containment lines around a fire.<\/p>\n

This fire was causing considerable smoke in the local area.<\/p>\n

Residents have been reminded there is a local fire ban in place in\u00a0the South Burnett, Cherbourg, Gympie and North Burnett council areas.<\/strong><\/p>\n
