October 30, 2016<\/strong><\/p>\n

The deadline for nominating outstanding South Burnett residents for an Australia Day Award is now less than two weeks away.<\/p>\n

The Awards, which are presented each year, recognise South Burnett residents who have made significant contributions to the arts, sports, and communities of the region.<\/p>\n

They provide an opportunity to acknowledge outstanding groups and individuals who have shown their commitment to improving the South Burnett’s lifestyle.<\/p>\n

In addition to the major awards, there are also nine Local Achiever Awards.<\/p>\n

These awards give the region’s individual communities an equal opportunity to nominate people who have made special contributions to that community.<\/p>\n
