Taabinga Rotary members took the opportunity of a visit to the Kingaroy Ambulance Station on Wednesday evening to divvy up the profits from the recent Bookarama.<\/p>\n

Club president Paul Laurentiussen presented a cheque for $3000 to Kingaroy Ambulance officer-in-charge Travis Cramb.<\/p>\n

This will be put towards the Kingaroy Local Ambulance Committee’s current project to purchase an $11,000 training dummy, known as a \u00a0\u201cMegaCode Kid\u201d.<\/p>\n

The advanced training mannequin will allow paramedics to practise life-saving skills for child patients.<\/p>\n

Mr\u00a0Laurentiussen also presented a cheque for $3000 to John Box to go towards his granddaughter’s charity fundraising effort, “Violets Of Tomorrow”, for children’s cancer.<\/p>\n

A third amount of $3000 will be put aside for Taabinga Rotary’s ambitious project to upgrade Kingaroy\u2019s Town Common walking track .<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
