BreastScreen bus will be in Kingaroy from November \u00a0to February\u00a0<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Women aged 50 to 69 years in the Kingaroy area are being urged to take advantage of free breast cancer screening services available from November to February.<\/p>\n

BreastScreen Queensland\u2019s state-of-the-art digital mobile service will be based at the Kingaroy Hospital from November 2012 and will remain there until February next year.<\/p>\n

BreastScreen Queensland Health Promotion Officer Jessica Hobbs said it was essential women looked after their health and had a regular breast screen.<\/p>\n

\u201cBreast cancer is still the most common cancer affecting Queensland women,” she said.<\/p>\n

\u201cEarly detection could save your life. All women aged between 50 and 69 years are strongly encouraged to have a free breast screen every two years. All women over the age of 40 are also eligible to attend.<\/p>\n

“Women in the target age groups in the Kingaroy area should take the opportunity provided by the visit of the mobile service to their area to have a breast screen done.”<\/p>\n

A doctor\u2019s referral is not required to attend the mobile screening service.<\/p>\n
