The South Burnett Saints are quietly confident that they’ll be reintroducing AFL to the region next year.<\/p>\n

The club held a sign-on at Kingaroy Shoppingworld on Saturday morning and now have 31 seniors and 16 juniors committed for 2013.<\/p>\n

Vice-President Will Reid told southburnett.com.au<\/strong> that while registrations are still below the 35 seniors and 35 juniors the club needs to enrol by November 25, he’s sure the Saints will meet their target.<\/p>\n

The group’s 9-a-side touch competition at Lyle Vidler Oval on Tuesday nights has been well attended over the past two weeks, and so has an informal Sunday afternoon kick-around at the same venue.<\/p>\n

Will said the Saints had also arranged their grounds and sponsors for 2013.<\/p>\n

So now all they need is another 23 players to make their dream a reality.<\/p>\n
