Kilkivan State School will receive funding from the State Government to employ a school chaplain next year.<\/p>\n

Education, Training and Employment Minister John-Paul Langbroek announced today that 21 schools had been selected to join the Chaplaincy and Pastoral Care Funding Program.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs part of our election commitment, the Newman Government allocated an extra $1 million over four years for the Chaplaincy and Pastoral Care Funding Program,\u201d Mr Langbroek said.<\/p>\n

\u201cBack in September we announced a 10 per cent funding increase for the 128 state schools that were currently receiving funding under the program.<\/p>\n

\u201cNow we have identified a further 21 state schools to join the program from the start of next year, with first-time funding to employ chaplains and pastoral care workers in these schools.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
