Vintage military machinery will be one of the featured displays at this weekend’s Vintage Machinery rally near Kingaroy Airport.<\/p>\n

This is the fourth time the Kingaroy & District Vintage Machinery Club has held its annual rally at its club grounds on Geoff Raph Drive, and this year’s event is shaping to be the biggest yet.<\/p>\n

As well as military machinery, enthusiasts will also be celebrating 90 years of Stihl as well as the humble farm pump.<\/p>\n

There’ll also be vintage engines, tractors, crawlers, trucks, cars, bikes, steam power and all sorts of old machinery.<\/p>\n

The always-popular \u00a0tractor pulls will be back in the purpose-built arena; the further the tractor goes down the track, the more weight is transferred to the sled, testing the tractor’s pulling power.<\/p>\n

Also popular is the grand parade, when all the mobile exhibits trundle, huff and puff \u00a0their way around the arena.<\/p>\n

There’ll also be slow tractor races, corn threshing and other novelty events.<\/p>\n

Entry is $10 per person (children under 12 are free).<\/p>\n
