Workplace Health and Safety Queensland has organised a free webinar for employers in a bid to cut the number of workers being killed while working near heavy vehicles.<\/p>\n

Between 2012 and 2015, 14 workers died in Queensland after being crushed or hit by a heavy vehicle or trailer because it was not effectively immobilised.<\/p>\n

The webinar will assist businesses to understand and control the risks associated with immobilising heavy vehicles and trailers, as well as resources available for the transport industry.<\/p>\n

It will be held on Wednesday, September 14, from noon to 12:45pm.<\/p>\n

It is part of a campaign by Workplace Health and Safety targeting truck safety, including safely working under trucks or trailers,\u00a0truck and trailer maintenance and coupling and de-coupling trailers.<\/p>\n
