The annual Kingaroy Christmas Carnival couldn’t go ahead each year except for the help of the South Burnett Regional Council … and one man in particular has earned praise from the organisers.<\/p>\n

Kingaroy Christmas Carnival Inc committee president Craig Lucas recently presented a “thank you” plaque to council worker Ian Johnson, who has been involved with making the carnival a success for more years than he can remember.<\/p>\n

Ian organises the road closures, signage and the wheelie bins, a vital part of setting up the festive fun.<\/p>\n

He also stays on call throughout the event, and helps clean up after everything winds down.<\/p>\n

The carnival is now just four months away, so organisers are meeting regularly.<\/p>\n

Booking forms for stalls can be downloaded from the Carnival’s website<\/a><\/b><\/p>\n

The Kingaroy Christmas Carnival committee will be holding their Annual General Meeting in the Carrollee Hotel’s meeting room at 6:00pm on Thursday night (September 1).<\/strong><\/p>\n
