South Burnett Regional Council has released a new route and timetable for the Kingaroy “Get on Board” Bus Service.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Get on Board bus service has been trialled for five months and we have made a few changes to accommodate requests from regular\u00a0users of the service,\u201d Council Manager of Business and Economic Development Phil Harding said<\/p>\n

\u201cCouncil received some feedback that residents would like the bus service to be one continual route. We also received requests that it would be convenient if the route included the Harvey Norman and Mitre 10 precinct.”<\/p>\n

Mr Harding said a new flyer with the route and timetable had been prepared.<\/p>\n

A letterbox drop to all Kingaroy residents is being conducted this month.<\/p>\n

\u201cCouncil encourages residents to use this service which is subsidised by the Queensland Government,\u201d Mr Harding said.<\/p>\n

Mayor Wayne Kratzmann said the bus service was supported by the Council, State Government\u00a0and Pursers Coaches.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis service ensures our residents are not housebound. It gives everyone the freedom to get out and\u00a0about,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have funding for this service for two years and we are open to making necessary changes to ensure
\nwe have the maximum number of people using it<\/p>\n

“Ongoing funding is reliant on increasing the number of people using the Get on Board bus service. If\u00a0you haven\u2019t yet used this service I would recommend you visit Council\u2019s website<\/a><\/strong> for times.\u201d<\/p>\n
