Ambulance officers and fire crews at the scene of this morning’s crash<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

April 24, 2012<\/strong><\/p>\n

A smash on the D’Aguilar Highway between Kingaroy and Nanango, which occurred about 8:20am, closed the highway to traffic for about two hours this morning.<\/p>\n

The AGL Action Rescue Helicopter, multiple ambulances and fire crews attended the two-car incident on the corner of Hodgeleigh North Road and the highway.<\/p>\n

Two people are believed to have been injured.<\/p>\n

There is no further information available at this stage.<\/p>\n

UPDATE: 2:00pm<\/strong><\/p>\n

The AGL Action Rescue Helicopter has flown a 59-year-old Maryborough woman to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a serious condition with injuries to her lower legs.<\/p>\n

The Maroochydore-based helicopter landed on the D’Aguilar Highway where its flight doctor and flight paramedic stabilised the woman before moving her.<\/p>\n

The woman was the driver of one of the vehicles. Her 24-year-old daughter, who was the only passenger, was taken by road ambulance to Kingaroy Hospital.<\/p>\n

A second AGL chopper, this time from Bundaberg, flew another person injured in the crash to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane.<\/p>\n

The 61-year-old woman, from Nanango, suffered chest and possible pelvic injuries. She was taken by road to Kingaroy Hospital and then flown to Brisbane in a stable condition.<\/p>\n
