SBcare has been able to hold another round of creative workshops for local residents with disabilities, thanks to funding from Stanwell’s corporate sponsorship program.<\/p>\n

The workshops, led by artist Kelley Crane, aim to nurture creative skills, build confidence and provide another opportunity for the participants to display their talents.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have been able to offer mainstream art learning opportunities to our clients with disabilities in a comfortable and practical environment,” SBcare CEO Cheryl Dalton said.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur aim is to inspire our clients to continue to be involved in creative activities which bring joy to them, provide an outlet for their talents as well as supporting the opportunity to develop and hone their skills.”<\/p>\n

Members of the group plan to enter some of their works, including clocks and birdhouses, in this year’s DisAbility Art Show at Kingaroy Gallery in November.<\/p>\n

The exhibition will run from November 1-30 at the Kingaroy Art Gallery, with the official opening to be held on November 5.<\/p>\n

The art show is being sponsored by South Burnett CTC, SBcare and Jobmatch Employment.<\/p>\n
