Kingaroy State High School’s annual Flair concert – a fundraiser for the school’s Chaplaincy program – was truly out of this world on Friday evening.<\/p>\n

There was a nod to Dr Who, with a Tardis parked on stage, and a large rocket ship decorated the backdrop while Star Wars Storm Troopers kept the evening running smoothly.<\/p>\n

The Kingaroy Town Hall was packed with parents and fellow students for the night of talent, which is organised by Year 12 students.<\/p>\n

Special rows near the front were reserved for visiting exchange students from Fudooka in Japan who only arrived in Kingaroy earlier in the day … and who must have been wondering at times what it was all about.<\/p>\n

But the Japanese students also joined in the fun, performing a traditional dance for the audience.<\/p>\n

Other highlights of the evening including a display by KSHS’s percussion group … using basketballs instead of musical instruments; a jazz performance by teachers, and singing by individual students as well as the choir.<\/p>\n
