A university roadshow will visit the South Burnett at the end of next month to help “demystify” higher education for local high school students.<\/p>\n

University of Southern Queensland staff will visit Murgon on August 23 to talk to students from throughout the region.<\/p>\n

Career development staff will hold sessions for students and their families to explain pathways into higher education and study options after high school.<\/p>\n

There will also be information about study in the areas of health, agriculture, creative arts, business, engineering and sport and exercise, as well as information about the Tertiary Preparation Program and TAFE.<\/p>\n

Vice-Chancellor Prof Jan Thomas said the USQ roadshow was an important initiative to support regional students.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are committed to ensuring higher education is accessible and attainable for students from diverse cultures, socioeconomic and regional backgrounds,\u201d Prof Thomas said.<\/p>\n
