The best entries in a new rural photography competition that aims to inspire Queensland’s rural women will be shown to audiences in Brisbane next month.<\/p>\n

The Queensland Rural, Regional and Remote Women\u2019s Network (QRRRWN) will be holding their annual ‘City Meets Country Ekka Week High Tea’ at Brisbane City Hall from 2:00pm on Friday, August 5, and will be announcing the winners of the rural photography competition as part of the event.<\/p>\n

“The QRRRWN wants to stimulate minds and cameras across rural Queensland with an inspirational photography competition that celebrates confidence in the rural sector,” president Alison Mobbs said.<\/p>\n

“We are inviting any Queenslander to submit images that will either inspire confidence in rural women, or encapsulate the confidence within them.”<\/p>\n

Entries will be used in a social media campaign in the lead up to the QRRRWN High Tea, and the winning entries will be printed on canvases by Jane White Design and Print and auctioned at the event.<\/p>\n

Photography competition submissions close at 5:00pm this Thursday (July 28).<\/strong><\/p>\n

There is no cost to enter, and terms and conditions of the competition can be found on the QRRRWN’s website<\/b><\/a>.<\/p>\n

The winners will be selected by a panel of judges and will be notified soon after judging has occurred.<\/p>\n

They will each receive a year\u2019s complimentary QRRWN membership and a prize pack that includes Panda Pearls, as well as recognition with an image credit on their canvas.<\/p>\n

The proceeds of the auction will be used by the QRRRWN to provide assistance to rural women for training and self-development opportunities.<\/p>\n
