Kingaroy’s former Pathway 2 Hope charity shop is now under new management and has a new name.<\/p>\n

On Saturday morning, the revamped store had its official Grand Opening, and drew a steady stream of visitors despite the rain and cold.<\/p>\n

The bad weather may have prevented the planned appearance of a children’s jumping castle at the opening day celebrations, but other features of the event went off as planned.<\/p>\n

The revamped shop is now known as Seasons Of Change.<\/p>\n

It stocks a wide variety of quality second-hand items including books, CDs, DVDs, board games, kitchen crockery, clothing, shoes and bric-a-brac, all at genuinely bargain prices.<\/p>\n

On opening day, everything in the shop was marked down to $1, but the normal price range for many items is $2 to $5.<\/p>\n

Manager Sandy Towell said the store also hopes to be able to offer second-hand electrical appliances in future.<\/p>\n

But first they’ll need to find a qualified electrician willing to volunteer the necessary testing and tagging services to ensure that anything the store offers to the public is safe to use.<\/p>\n

Seasons Of Change is staffed by volunteers, and the funds the store raises are used to provide services to South Burnett residents who are battling with a mental illness.<\/p>\n

Sandy also manages the weekly Makers, Bakers and Growers markets, which recently relocated from O’Neill Square to the Broadway Hotel’s car park opposite Shoppingworld and have now almost doubled in size.<\/p>\n

Seasons Of Change is located at 25 King Street in Kingaroy and is open from 9:00am to 4:00pm Mondays to Fridays.<\/strong><\/p>\n
