The Kingaroy Blue Light Disco celebrated its 20th birthday on Friday night … and more than 600 children turned up to enjoy the fun!<\/p>\n

Kingaroy police officers were run off their feet amongst all the music, dancing and general mayhem.<\/p>\n

The disco kicked off earlier than usual, with Rotary serving up a sausage sizzle in the Town Hall forecourt.<\/p>\n

Inside, there were long queues at the canteen where the children were buying lollies and drinks.<\/p>\n

There were also long queues at the photo booth, mechanical bull and face painting stalls.<\/p>\n

Even veterans of the Blue Light Disco said they’d never seen anything like it.<\/p>\n

Debbie Cox said she had been volunteering at the discos for 16 years.<\/p>\n

When she first put up her hand, the committee was desperately short of members and as her children were coming along she agreed to help out.<\/p>\n

These days, she has a grand-daughter on the dance floor!<\/p>\n
