Only three local groups appear to have received funding under the latest round of grants from the Gambling Community Benefit Fund.<\/p>\n

The Kingaroy Breastfeeding Association has received $6552 to purchase equipment.<\/p>\n

Blackbutt Tennis Club has received $23,496 to resurface the Blackbutt Tennis Courts<\/p>\n

As well, the Queensland Rural, Regional and Remote Women’s Network\u00a0 – formed in the South and Central Burnett – received $20,000 to develop a database platform.<\/p>\n

The three groups were among 600 community groups across Queensland which received a total of $13 million in funding from the latest allocations.<\/p>\n

Member for Nanango Deb Frecklington is concerned that only three local groups were funded.<\/strong><\/p>\n

She said that over the past several rounds, the number of Nanango Electorate groups receiving grants has been steadily decreasing.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am worried that many of our hard-working groups are missing out and I question the Labor Government why this is happening?\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

\u201cI just hope that in the next round more groups in my Nanango Electorate are successful with their grant submissions,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

She is\u00a0 keen to hear from any group who submitted a Gambling Community Benefit Fund grant in November 2015 and was unsuccessful.<\/p>\n

Applications for the next round of funding, Round 89, close at midnight on May 31.<\/strong><\/p>\n
