St Mary’s Catholic College atudents, parents and teachers celebrated everything artistic at the school’s annual Arts Showcase in Kingaroy this evening.<\/p>\n

There were paintings, sculptures, ceramics, prints and photographs taken by students from all grades.<\/p>\n

As well, drama students staged a mock gallery hold-up and music students entertained with piano and strings performances.<\/p>\n

Exhibition curator Bron Langford-Martoo welcomed parents and friends of the school to the exhibition.<\/p>\n

She said this year the school had decided to display works completed by younger students alongside pieces by senior art students to provide an insight into how the younger artists viewed themselves and the world about them.<\/p>\n

There was everything on show, from yayoi kusama wrappings (by Year 8s) to works exploring the human condition and turbulence (Year 12).<\/p>\n

A number of teachers, and other friends of the school, also had works on show.<\/p>\n
