RACQ CareFlight helicopters were called to assist four motocross riders at different crashes across southern Queensland at the weekend.<\/p>\n

The Toowoomba-based crew flew to Manar Park, near Boondooma, on Sunday.<\/p>\n

A CareFlight spokesman said a 31-year-old Hervey Bay man suffered chest injuries after hitting a tree at speed.<\/p>\n

He was treated by ambulance paramedics and the helicopter’s medical team before being airlifted to Toowoomba Hospital in a stable condition.<\/p>\n

Also on Sunday, the Toowoomba helicopter travelled to\u00a0Gap Creek motocross park to retrieve a\u00a0man\u00a0in his mid-50s after he\u00a0suffered a lower leg injury as a result of a crash. He\u00a0was airlifted to Toowoomba Hospital in a stable condition.<\/p>\n

Earlier, a 37-year-old Sunshine Coast man suffered head and arm injuries as a result of\u00a0a collision between two bikes in a State Forest near Coochin Creek. He was airlifted to Nambour Hospital in a stable condition.<\/p>\n

On Monday afternoon, a 31-year-old Toowoomba man was airlifted after a high-speed crash\u00a0at a Southern Downs bike track.<\/p>\n

The man suffered suspected spinal injuries in a crash at the Hayworth Park Motocross Track, south west of Toowoomba.<\/p>\n

It is believed he was travelling around the track at speed, when he mistimed a jump and landed awkwardly.<\/p>\n

He was treated at the scene before being transported to Toowoomba Hospital in a stable condition.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
