The South Burnett Cricket Association’s 2012-13 season of one-day matches returned with a bang on Saturday with Kingaroy RSL and Murgon Crusaders scoring solid victories.<\/p>\n

Kingaroy’s Anthony Eden, who topped last season’s\u00a0A Grade Batting Aggregate and Batting Average, started on a winning note, scoring a century in his opening innings.<\/p>\n

Crusaders’ Ashley Sippel and Jason Webber are stepping up a grade and out of the South Burnett competition with a shift to Gympie Gold for the rest of the season.<\/p>\n

Sippel took three wickets in his debut match for Gympie against Caboolture on Saturday.<\/p>\n

  • Kingaroy RSL v Warriors at Lyle Vidler Oval, Kingaroy<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Kingaroy RSL won the toss and batted first. Anthony Eden and Darren Geiger put on 107 for the first wicket. Kingaroy RSL finished their overs with 4\/289.<\/p>\n

    Anthony Eden (102), Graeme Baderick (52) and Brady Roberts (50 n\/o) were Kingaroy’s top scorers.<\/p>\n

    Craig Patterson 1\/20 and Luke Smith 2\/68 were the best of the Warriors’ bowlers.<\/p>\n

    In reply, the Warriors were bowled out for 161.<\/p>\n

    Jarrod Dascombe (33) and Tim Linnane (28) were best of the batsmen. Anthony Eden 2\/9 and Simon Fairbairn 2\/28 were the best of the RSL bowlers.<\/p>\n

    Kingaroy RSL won by 128 runs.<\/p>\n

    • Murgon Crusaders v Nanango Scorpions at Nanango Sportsground<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Murgon Crusaders won the toss and batted first.\u00a0Chris Heness (56),\u00a0Andrew Roderick (43) and\u00a0Damien Sippel (36) were the Crusaders’ top scorers. Crusaders set a massive target of 311.<\/p>\n

      Brendan Weil, 3\/39 off nine overs, and Sonny Stevens, \u00a03\/43 off six overs, were the best of the Scorpions’ bowlers.<\/p>\n

      In reply, Scorpions managed 171. Best for Nanango were Phil Reddan (86 n\/o) and Freddy Davies (40).<\/p>\n

      Bernard Hopkins, 4\/20 off 6 overs, and Derek Sander, 2\/21 off five overs, were the best of the Crusaders’ bowlers.<\/p>\n

      Crusaders won by 140 runs.<\/p>\n

      B Grade Results<\/strong><\/p>\n

      • Kingaroy RSL v Murgon Magic at Taabinga State School<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        Kingaroy RSL forfeited.<\/p>\n

        • Murgon Diggers v Wondai Wolves at Wondai Sportsground<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

          Diggers batted first and were all out for 147 off 35 overs. Rodney Anderson (63), Craig Taylor (24) and Clint Suchoronczak (16) were the topscorers for Murgon.<\/p>\n

          Rory Brown 5\/20 off four overs, Kiall Rowberry 2\/15 off 6.2 overs and Chris Bodey, 1\/23 off seven overs, were the best of the Wolves’ bowlers.<\/p>\n

          In reply, Wondai Wolves passed the target in the 22nd over with the loss of seven wickets.<\/p>\n

          Laurie Nicholson (50), Kiall Rowberry (42) and Matt Stumer (20) were the best of the Wolves’ batsmen.<\/p>\n

          Tavis Hartwig 3\/21 off six overs, Amanda Anderson 2\/7 off one over and Ryan Sommerfield, 1\/22 off four overs, were the best of the Diggers’ bowlers.<\/p>\n

          Wolves won by three wickets.<\/p>\n

          • Warriors v Barambah at Kingaroy State School<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

            Warriors were 9\/259 after 40 overs. Matt Nesbitt (72 n\/o),\u00a0Trevor Hansen (59) and\u00a0Shaun Hauritz (21) were the top scorers.<\/p>\n

            J. Walsh, \u00a03\/47 off eight overs, was the best of the Barambah bowlers.<\/p>\n

            In reply, Barambah were dismissed for 110. Top scorers were Delray Moses (21), \u00a0S. Stewart (22) and Errol Simpson (21).<\/p>\n

            Matt Nesbitt, 5\/26 off seven overs, was the best of the Warriors’ bowlers.<\/p>\n

            Warriors won by 149 runs<\/p>\n

            T20 Results<\/strong><\/p>\n

            • Wondai Wolves v Kingaroy RSL at Lyle Vidler Oval<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

              Wondai 7\/203 defeated Kingaroy RSL 120 in the T20 semi-final played on Friday night.<\/p>\n

              James Cameron top scored for\u00a0Wondai with 94. Geoff Wallis (42) and Kiall Rowberry (21) were the other top scorers.<\/p>\n

              Cameron also took 4\/9 off four overs.<\/p>\n

              Brady Roberts top scored for Kingaroy with 53. \u00a0Best of the Kingaroy bowlers were C. Brown 5\/37 off four overs and K. Donohue, 1\/5 \u00a0off three overs.<\/p>\n

              Wolves won by 85 runs.<\/p>\n
