competition.

Gunners played Barambah at Wondai on Saturday, where both Gunners’ men’s teams clinched identical 3-1 victories against their rivals.

Barambah’s 2nd Division side have turned in creditable results so far this season, winning two rounds and coming close in others.

But their 1st Division team – which has to be bolstered by 2nd Division players because of a player shortage – is yet to win.

However, it was Barambah’s women’s side which prevented Gunners making a clean sweep of the Bears.

Barambah women defeated the luckless Gunnettes – who’ve yet to secure any points for themselves so far this season – by a strong 7-nil margin.

Pending a win by Nanango’s women’s side when they play a deferred match against Wests this Thursday night, Saturday’s victory has put Barambah women at the top of the women’s division points table with three wins, a draw and a loss so far this season.

* * *

<figure id="attachment_143068"
