April 26, 2016<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Kingaroy Eisteddfod sprung into action on Tuesday at the Kingaroy Town Hall with “Dance” leading off the program of events.<\/p>\n

The eisteddfod is in its 84th year and is bigger than ever, drawing entries from northern NSW to Central Queensland.<\/p>\n

A record number of Dance entries have been lodged, which means this section of the eisteddfod has been extended to seven days.<\/p>\n

Solos, Duos and Trios will dance on April 26-30 followed by Groups on May 1-2 (including the public holiday).<\/p>\n

Speech and Drama will begin on Tuesday, May 3, followed by Secondary Choirs.<\/p>\n

The rest of the Music sessions will start at 8:30am on May 4 and run to May 6.<\/p>\n

May 5 has been set aside for School Choirs, followed by Piano and Singing until about 8:00pm.<\/p>\n

On May 6, there will be Instrumental Solos, Duos, Trios and Quintets; followed by Small Primary and Secondary School Bands; piano duets and then Secondary School Bands.<\/p>\n

The always-popular Eisteddfod Concert, which features the best of the best, will be held from 7:00pm on Saturday, May 14.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
