Members of the South Burnett Chorale presented the South Burnett Pantry with a cheque on Friday morning to help the charity purchase two new refrigerators.<\/p>\n

This cheque came from the proceeds of the choral group’s Easter Concert, which was held at Kingaroy’s Lutheran Church on Sunday, March 20.<\/p>\n

The South Burnett Pantry supply discounted food hampers from their premises at 22 Stolzenberg Road in Kingaroy every Friday morning to anyone in the region who needs assistance.<\/p>\n

The Pantry had already secured a grant to cover most of the cost of the new refrigerators, and will now apply the Chorale’s donation towards it, too.<\/p>\n

The South Burnett Chorale is a mixed choir open to everyone, and it meets every Tuesday night during school terms from 7:00pm to 9:00pm at the Church of Christ Hall at the corner of Haly and Burnett streets in Kingaroy.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Chorale performs regular concerts at various venues, including a series of annual Christmas charity concerts and two to three concerts each year at Taabinga Homestead.<\/p>\n

The Chorale\u2019s repertoire includes popular, classic and sacred styles, and profits from all the group\u2019s concerts are donated to local charities.<\/p>\n

The Chorale is also celebrating its 20th birthday this year, and will be holding a combined 20th Birthday Party and Cent Auction at Kingaroy’s Lutheran Church Hall on Saturday, June 18.<\/p>\n
