Wondai Indoor Bowls Club Games Director Faye Holding was kept busy with the club’s annual Carnival over the weekend<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Indoor bowlers from all parts of southern Queensland flocked to Wondai at the weekend for their annual two day carnival.<\/p>\n

President Vince Lakin said the attendance was marvellous and the best representation for five years.<\/p>\n

“Wondai is blessed with a happy relationship with clubs from the majority of the region,” he said.<\/p>\n

Vince said this was assisted by Wondai teams making sure they reciprocated with carnivals held at other clubs.<\/p>\n

Rinks from Wondai will be travelling to carnivals at Toowoomba and Caloundra in the near future.<\/p>\n

Caloundra, which has a membership of 200 ranging from juvenile members through to senior and aged players, had a large representation of bowlers at the carnival. <\/strong><\/p>\n

It is one of the three strongest in Queensland, along with Rockhampton and Toowoomba.<\/p>\n

They have their own stadium and own a prestige courtesy bus.<\/p>\n

Their membership was swelled with a concentrated membership drive to get youngsters, accompanied by their parents, to play a number of trial games.<\/p>\n

This resulted in extremely positive membership growth.<\/p>\n
