South Burnett women have been invited to look over the criteria for a string of bursaries being offered by the National Council of Women in Queensland – but they’ll need to be quick.<\/p>\n

The different criteria required for each bursary are explained on the NCWQ website<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

Of special interest to local residents is a $1000 bursary, the 2016 Mayor Wayne Kratzmann Bursary, which is open only to female residents of the South Burnett Regional Council area.<\/p>\n

The recipient must also be:<\/strong><\/p>\n

1. Enrolled in a full-time, part-time or distance education course – either university or TAFE – to further develop their skills as a primary producer<\/p>\n

2. Able to demonstrate their contribution to the local community, eg through a sports group, school, church, service club, QCWA etc<\/p>\n

3. Be an Australian citizen or a permanent resident of Australia.<\/p>\n

Some of the other bursaries on offer are for secondary students as well as tertiary students.<\/p>\n

Applications for the bursaries opened on Monday (February 15) and will close on Monday, April 4, 2016.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
