Round 2 of the South Burnett soccer competition was played in Wondai and Kingaroy on\u00a0 March 19.<\/p>\n

Gunners attack the Barambah goal in Division 1<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Gunners faced Barambah at Wondai, with the Bears coming home triumphant in all but the important Division 1 game.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Games were played at Wondai instead of Murgon Sportsground because of a clash with the A Grade Cricket grand final.<\/p>\n

In Division 1, Gunners\u00a0 blew away an under-manned Barambah 10-1.<\/p>\n

Gunners’ first points came from Tommy Schmidhauser in just the third minute.<\/p>\n

This was followed shortly afterwards by Joseph Copas who kicked the first of his three goals.<\/p>\n

Pacey Clegg was also on target, scoring two goals for Gunners.<\/p>\n

Ayden Connolly, backing up from the Division 2 game earlier in the afternoon, scored a late face-saver for Barambah as the clock was winding down.<\/p>\n

Gunners 10 ( Tommy Schmidhauser 3rd<\/sup>, Joseph Copas 9th<\/sup>, 48th<\/sup>, 61st<\/sup>, Jordan Hetherington 57th<\/sup>, Brendan Kelly 72nd<\/sup>, Pacey Clegg, 37th<\/sup>, 63rd<\/sup>, Neil Gurnett 43rd<\/sup>, Hayden Mashford 72nd<\/sup>)\u00a0\u00a0 defended Barambah 1 (Ayden Connolly 81st<\/sup>)<\/p>\n

The 2nd Division game was much closer, with the Bears coming out victorious.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Barambah 3 (Ayden Connolly, Sam Kemp, Chris O\u2019Loughlin) defended Gunners 2 (Ben Elias, Du Pham).<\/p>\n

In the Women’s game, the Gunnettes were truly outgunned, with the Bears’ Taylah Berlin and Elle Mollenhauer dominant in attack.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Mollenhauer scored in the first minute and then followed up seven minutes later.<\/p>\n

During an amazing spell in the second half, the Gunnettes’ goal was peppered by a relentless Barambah attack.<\/p>\n

Eight goals were were kicked in just 15 minutes as Berlin and Mollenhauer swapped scoring opportunities.<\/p>\n

Barambah 14 (Taylah Berlin, 30th<\/sup>, 32nd<\/sup>, 67th<\/sup>, 70th<\/sup>, 72nd<\/sup>, 78th<\/sup>;\u00a0 Elle Mollenhauer 1st<\/sup>, 8th<\/sup>, 17th<\/sup>, 46th<\/sup>, 63rd<\/sup>,66th<\/sup>, 68th; CJ VanOostveen 77th)\u00a0 defeated Gunnettes 0.<\/p>\n

Nanango were all over Wests in Division 1<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

In Kingaroy, the home team Wests remained goalless facing the in-form Nanango Panthers.<\/strong><\/p>\n

In Division 1 , Nanango 9 (Elliott Mangan 3, Harry Sterling 2, Ike Silalat 2, Callum Cook 1, Karl Pilchlis 1) defeated Wests 0.<\/p>\n

In Division 2,\u00a0 Nanango 2 (Neil Frohloff 43rd<\/sup>, Aaron Collins 75th<\/sup>)\u00a0 defeated Wests 0<\/p>\n

The women’s division was a nil-all draw.<\/strong><\/p>\n
