Health Minister Cameron Dick has confirmed that a business case for a new Kingaroy Hospital is being developed as part of the planning process to prioritise Health Department projects across Queensland.<\/p>\n

Responding to a petition sponsored by Member for Nanango Deb Frecklington, Mr Dick re-confirmed that Kingaroy Hospital had been identified as a priority by the Darling Downs Hospital and Health Service.<\/p>\n

He said the Department of Health was now considering all projects identified as priorities by Hospital and Health Services across Queensland as part of the process to develop a five-year capital works plan.<\/p>\n

However, there was no suggestion in the letter sent to petitioners that the Kingaroy Hospital had been included in this plan.<\/p>\n

And Mr Dick noted that even if a project was included in the plan, there was no guarantee that it would be funded by the State Government.<\/p>\n
