A 49-year-old woman was lucky to escape serious injuries when her car veered off Kumbia Road and struck a tree in Kumbia on Thursday evening.<\/p>\n

The woman was taken to Kingaroy Hospital with suspected chest injuries but has since been discharged.<\/p>\n

She allegedly told police she was trying to secure a loose piece of paper blowing around her car when she lost control.<\/p>\n

The Toyota Starlet snapped the tree off at its base.<\/p>\n

She was the sole person in the vehicle.<\/p>\n

The woman has been issued with a notice to appear in court on a charge of driving without due care and attention.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
